Impact games to be broadcast on CKAC Sports and THE TEAM 990

The broadcast in 2009 will include 15 regular season home games and two Nutrilite Canadian Championship games at Saputo Stadium, as well as all playoff matches, including those on the road. Each show will be preceded and followed by pre-game and post-game shows.

“We are thrilled about our partnerships with these two sports radio stations,” said Corporate Sales and Development Vice President of the Impact John Di Terlizzi. “They support us through the radiobroadcast of our games and also by talking about the team yearlong on their shows, news broadcasts and websites. They definitely contribute to enhance the image of soccer across the province.”

« CKAC is happy to broadcast the Impact’s local games,” said CKAC Sports Program Director Michel Tremblay. “The Impact is more and more becoming a must in Quebec sports, as their recent success in the USL First Division and the CONCACAF Champions League demonstrate. The radio broadcast of the Impact games give us the occasion to offer yet another quality product to our large audience. In addition to the Impact games, we are proud to broadcast the games of the Canadiens, the Alouettes, the Montreal Junior and the Université de Montréal Carabins.”

“The TEAM 990 is very proud to continue its partnership with the Montreal Impact,” said THE TEAM 990 General Manager Wayne Bews. “After an amazing year in the CONCACAF Champions League, we’re all anticipating another great season on the pitch and on the radio. There is no denying that soccer has become wholly integrated into Montreal’s sports culture."

The voices of the Impact on CKAC Sports will still be Jean-Philippe Bertrand (play by play), Francis Millien (colour) and Jeremy Filosa (sidelines) and the voices on THE TEAM 990 will be Brian Wilde (play by play), Impact builder Grant Needham (colour) and Noel Butler (sidelines).

CKAC Sports and THE TEAM 990 will broadcast again this year a weekly soccer show. Jacques Thériault will be the host on CKAC Sports, while Noel Butler will present the show on THE TEAM 990.
