The Impact faces the Miami FC Sunday in Florida

“It will be a good test with three weeks to go before our first game of the season,” said Impact defender Nevio Pizzolitto. “It will be a good way to measure ourselves and see at what level we are at against a USL team. Miami just started their camp but they will be excited to play that game. They have a lot of new players that will try to show they can be part of the team, so it won’t be easy.”

“It’s going to be one of our last preseason games so again we need to focus and concentrate,” noted midfielder David Testo. “That friendly is a great opportunity to continue working. At the same time we want to get into our winning mode.”

“Even if the result is not important, we definitely want to finish the camp with a win,” added Pizzolitto. “It would be great for the team morale to conclude this trip on a positive note.”

It will be Montreal’s 13th exhibition game since kicking off training camp on January 7. The Impact has a record of eight wins, two losses and two ties.

Last year, Miami FC ended the season 9th in the USL First Division standings with a record of 8-12-10.

The two teams will match-up for the first time in regular season play, April 24, at Tropical Park Stadium, in Miami.

The Impact will kick off its regular season April 18, in Charleston. The Impact will play its home opener Saturday, May 9, as they play host to the Rochester Rhinos at Saputo Stadium. Season tickets are currently available by calling 514-328-3668.
