MONTREAL – Defender Ambroise Oyongo has been selected by the Cameroon national team for two international friendly games, against Tunisia on March 24 in Monastir, followed by Guinea on March 28 at Stade Edmond Machtens in Molenbeek-Saint-Jean, Brussels, Belgium.
Oyongo, 25, has played 25 games with the Cameroon national team, helping the Lions indomptables win the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations after starting all six games. He scored his first goal on January 20, 2015, in a 1-1 draw with Mali in the Africa Cup of Nations.
Oyongo has started four 2018 World Cup qualifiers and made his debut with the selection on September 6, 2014, against the Democratic Republic of Congo. He also took part in the FIFA U20 World Cup in 2011.
