Ambroise Oyongo called by the Cameroon national team

Impact defender Ambroise Oyongo has been selected by the Cameroon national team for three international matches.  


As part of the country’s preparation for the Africa Cup of Nations Gabon 2017, Cameroon will play two friendlies, its first against Burkina Faso, on June 6, in France, and then against the Democratic Republic of Congo, on 9 June, in Mons, Belgium.
The Cameroonian selection will then face Mauritania in its first qualifying match of Group M for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on June 14 in Yaoundé. The Group also includes Gambia and South Africa. 
Oyongo has played 10 games with the national team, scoring his first career goal on January 20, in a 1-1 draw with Mali, at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations. He made his debut with the selection on September 6, 2014 against the Democratic Republic of Congo. He had previously participated in the 2011 FIFA U20 World Cup.
Oyongo will join the national team on June 4, following the game against Vancouver on Wednesday, June 3, at Stade Saputo.
