The Academy wins two of its three games against Seacoast United

The Development Academy Impact teams hosted Seacoast United at Centre Nutrilait last Saturday. The Bleu-blanc-noir managed to go unbeaten, winning twice and drawing once. The Impact U15 won 6-0, the Impact U17 tied 1-1 and the Impact U19 also won 6-0.


Impact U15 owns the second half

The Impact U15 controlled the game from the beginning to the end. Nonetheless, Dominique Moring were only ahead 1-0 at halftime after an own goal from the visitors.


It’s in the second half that the players were the most efficient in the attacking third. Gabriel Antinoro scored a brace and Samuel-Antoine Sinzidi, Jordan Therrien and Maximilian Banfi scored the other goals.


With this 6-0 win, the Impact solidifies its place at the top of the Northeast division with a 12-0-2 record.


Impact U17 fights back for the draw

Seacoast United was first to score in the 17th minute, after a defensive error from Montreal.


The Impact U17 managed to come back in the second half when Mouhamadou Kane scored, in alone against the goalkeeper after receiving a pass behind the defenders from Matthew Catavolo. Sean Rea hit the bar twice in the end of the game, but the Impact couldn’t find a way to get the winning goal.


With its 10-5-2 record, Nicolas Gagnon’s team hangs on to first place in the division, but Beachside Soccer Club is not far behind with a 9-4-3 record.


The Impact U19 bounces back

Montreal’s U19 team had a tough weekend in Massachusetts the week before, getting only one point from two games.


They bounced back in the best way with a solid performance and a 6-0 win.


Calin Calaidjoglu scored a hat trick in the first 22 minutes of the game, followed by goals from Moulay Belghiti, Yannick Laurent and Jeremie Omeonga.


Philippe Eullaffroy’s team is getting closer to New England, now second in the Northeast division with an 8-5-2 record.


Next games

The next Development Academy games will be on Saturday, March 30, at Centre Nutrilait, as the Impact faces New York Soccer Club. The U15 teams will play at 10am, followed by the U17 ones at 12:30pm.
