MONTREAL – Midfielder Samuel Piette has been selected by the Canadian national team to take part in its last Concacaf Nations League A Group A game, against the United States, on November 15, at 7pm, at Exploria Stadium in Orlando.

Piette, who will turn 25 on November 12, has recorded four assists in 45 games, including 31 starts, with the Canadian national team. He made his senior debut with the Reds at the age of 17, on June 3, 2012, against the United States. He has appeared in the last four Concacaf Gold Cup tournaments, in 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2019, while also appearing in several 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. He also represented Canada at the U17, U20 and U23 levels and played in the 2011 FIFA U17 World Cup in Mexico.

Piette was named Canada Soccer’s Player of the Month for October after being named Player of the Match in Canada’s 2-0 win against the United States on October 15 in Toronto.

Canada currently leads Group A with nine points in three games and could qualify for the Concacaf Nations League semifinals with either a win or a draw against the Americans.
