Impact forward takes the honours after long-range strike against Miami
It just keeps getting better for Bojan. After scoring the opening goal of the Impact’s eventual 2-1 win over Inter Miami FC, his third in five games, the Catalan forward was named to the Team of the Week, before being named MLS Player of the Week for his dominant performance.
Now, after the votes came in, his stunner from long range was the overwhelming winner of the MLS Goal of the Week for week 19.
Bojan ended up receiving 50.56% of the votes, way more than second-place finisher Pedro Santos of the Columbus Crew SC, who finished with 17.41%. Bojan added an assist on the game winner as well, unselfishly passing it on to Maxi Urruti, who slotted it into an open cage.
