MONTREAL - CF Montréal announced on Saturday the appointment of Jason Di Tullio as first team assistant coach.

“I am very happy to be working with Jason again. The decision was quite easy for me,” said CF Montréal head coach Wilfried Nancy. “Jason knows the Club and the way I work very well. He is competent and will bring his energy, two elements that will help us achieve our goals. I welcome him to my coaching group."

"I'm very happy, excited and also emotional to be back on the Club's first team," said Jason Di Tullio. "I've always wanted to come back to this environment. A few years later, I'm even more prepared to take on these responsibilities. I've learned from my first stint as a coach with the pros in Montreal, and I'm glad that Wilfried (Nancy) and Olivier (Renard) believe in me. I want to give the best of myself with Wil, whom I’ve known for a long time. We see our sport in the same way and we have the same values. I can't wait to take on the challenge that awaits us, to meet the team in Florida, to get to work and eventually be able to experience these emotions and this passion with our fans at Stade Saputo."

Jason Di Tullio had previously been an assistant coach with the Club's first team from 2015 to 2017. He returned to the Club as head coach of the U17 squad on August 13, 2019 and was named the U23 head coach on September 4, 2020.

Previously with the Academy, he was the U16 head coach in 2011 and 2012, before taking on the U18 team, from 2013 to 2015. Di Tullio also held the position of technical director of the Regional Association of soccer in Lanaudière for a year. As a player, Di Tullio played in Montreal in the North American Second Division, appearing in 75 games, including 56 as a starter, from 2002 to 2007.

Di Tullio, who also serves as an assistant coach with the Canadian U23 Mens National Team, is currently in Guadalajara, Mexico for the Concacaf Men's Olympic Qualifying Tournament.

Assistant coach Esteban Landazabal and post-training supervisor Patrice Bernier will act as interim with the Club's U23 team, following Di Tullio's promotion.
